HMAS Gladstone

Launched in September 1984, built by North Queensland Engineers and Agents in Cairns, and stationed in Cairns throughout her service, Gladstone (fondly nicknamed "Sadrock" by many) played a vital role in border protection and regional outreach for twenty-two years. Over her tenure, she traversed more than 618,000 miles (994,574.5 kilometers), steadfastly fulfilling her mission until her retirement.
